The84, Massachusetts youth tobacco prevention movement managed by The Medical Foundation, is seeking 2 paid interns, aged 16-18. Interns will play a major role in generating ideas and offering feedback related to The 84’s website content and online activities, as well as The 84 events and contests. They will work with other young people serving as advisors to the project, and will provide administrative support to mini-grant activities, The 84 digital media contest, and more. Interns will be largely responsible for reviewing and posting user-generated content to the84.org and other social networking sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a young person to take a leadership role and learn new skills.

The84 is a youth-led online movement in Massachusetts to promote tobacco-free lifestyle.

Interns will work approximately 9 hours per week at the office of The Medical Foundation in the South End/Back Bay of Boston. Commitment is from September 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009. Compensation will be $9/hour.
